in need (PIN) Foundation is a registered
charitable foundation in Sri Lanka. PINF
has taken the task of rehabilitation of
large number of poor school children who
are displaced, homeless and parentless following
Tsunami disaster in South of Sri Lanka.
Orphaned children are the most vulnerable
to abuse, violence, trafficking and exploitation.

has developed the new concept of establishing
the children’s Resource center where
education, health and the social well being
of displaced children are being looked after.These
children are at a crucial stage in their
life and if they are left without a supportive
hand, it can have a big impact on their
future. |

| It has been six months since the Child and Youth Development Centre located in "Jayasena Mawatha" Boossa, was established. The centre offers a free Pre-School, Computer school, Library facilities, English programs and a Medical Clinic for the displaced children [Read More..] |

PIN Foundation is establishing a children's home for tsunami orphaned
children to provide living conditions, rehabilitation, care and
assistance. PIN Foundation wish to set up a children home where children
are provided with a family home environment. |

More
than 40,000 people have been killed
in Sri Lanka by tsunami triggered
by a magnitude 9 earthquake in southern
Asia. It triggered 10-metre high waves
that hit Sri Lanka on 26th of December
2004.Coastal areas of Sri Lanka have
been destroyed by a Tsunami that hit
innocent people and their property
without any warning whatsoever. The
death toll is over 40,000 and over
a million people have been rendered
homeless. |
