- Computer Training programs for children

Education is the most important aspect
in the rehabilitation. Children and Youth Development Center has programs
to help those parentless, homeless and displaced children with
their educational needs. |

Preschool asssists childrens
of the Tsunami area to start their primary education. Preschool
is done by the teachers who had their training by the Asia foundation.
Preschool is very popular and done the first step in establishing
primary education for poor affected children. |

Children and Youth Development Center
has designed some educational programs for those children to learn
some professional skills. This educational programms will have
programs which will benefit children of the affected families.
Main idea is to educate the disaster affected children who have
lost schooling and also for them to learn their own professional
skills |

is essential part of the basic education. Training program is
established to teach English to children. |

Establishment
of a library helps those displaced children with their education
. The library consist of large amount of books ranging from English,
Religion, Science and Story Books. |

New class room for the Preschool |

The demand for the preschool is very high.In January we need to have 100
placement in the preschool for poor tsunami children. We are building a
new class room for the Preschool to accommodate increasing demand.PIN
Foundation is happy to confirm that grant of Rs. 901,750 been awarded by
Aberdeen Sri Lankan Link for the construction of preschool class room. |
